Writing Piece- Conventions
Student has a complete, edited writing piece. Capitalization, punctuation, and correct spelling of word wall words is consistent throughout the piece.
Student has a complete writing piece. Conventions are present through most of the piece.
Student has a complete writing piece, but additional edits are needed for conventions.
Student's work is missing portions, messy, and does not show any editing or revising.
Writing Piece- Content
Student has completed a persuasive writing piece with an introductory sentence, 3 supporting sentences, and 1 conclusion using their organizer.
Student has completed a persuasive writing piece, but is missing 1 supporting sentence or a conclusion.
Student has completed a persuasive writing piece, but is missing more than 1 portion.
Student does not create a persuasive piece. Tone is informative or narrative, and reasons do not persuade the listener.
Tale Telling- Voice
Student reads their piece clearly and fluently, and sticks to their script to have a complete response.
Student reads their piece clearly, but is too fast or slow. They stick to the script!
Student struggles to read their piece clearly, and skips portions of their script to create an incomplete response.
Student does not read clearly and fluently, and goes off of the script by being goofy or distracted. Audio recording is tough!
Tale Telling- Presentation
Student has created an illustration that matches their Tale and helps their listener visualize their words!
Student has created an illustration that mostly matches their Tale. It might need to be explained to the listener.
Student has created an illustration that does not match their Tale. It does not help the listener visualize seeds' importance!
Student does not create an illustration- they're distracted by the drawing portion and end up with scribbles or an incomplete picture.
Science Knowledge
Student uses 3 supporting details from new Science knowledge to persuade their listener.
Student uses only 2 supporting details from new Science knowledge, the listener might not be completely persuaded.
Student uses 3 sentences, but they do not include any new Science learning to persuade the listener.
Student does not include supporting details to help persuade the listener of their opinion.
Using New Tech Tools
Student creates and shares a Little Bird Tale so other's can be persuaded by their work! Great job trying out this new tool!
