Rate of Reading
Reader reads at a normal pace as if the reader is telling the story about himself.
Reader occassionally reads too fast or too slow.
Reader reads too fast or too slow most of the time.
Reader speeds through the book or reads so slow that the children can not be engaged by the story.
Tone
The reader uses the right tone with the story line, of the characters and expresses the attitude of the writer.
The reader uses the right tone in most parts of the story but still showing you the attitude of the writer.
The reader uses the right tone some but tends to lose the correct tone most of the story and it becomes hard to understand the attitude of the writer.
The reader does not use the correct tone the entire story, therefore never showing the attitude of the writer.
Expression
The reader is able to take mold of the characters in the story and express how they feel.
The reader mostly shows expression but gets out of character a few times.
The reader shows very little expression.
The reader shows no expression at all and reads like a robot.
Enunciation
The reader is very clear when pronouncing words in the story.
The reader is mostly clear on pronuciation, but stumbles on a few words.
The reader is unable to pronounce most of the words correctly.
The reader doesn\\'t pronounce any of the words but a few correctly.
Eye Contact
The reader makes very good eye contact with the audience the entire story.
The reader makes good eye contact most the time he reads and does not stare at the pages for too long.
The reader has a hard time looking away from the pages but still makes good eye contact at times.
The reader never looks up during the entire reading.
Showing of the Book
The reader shows the book the entire time he is reading, making sure all of the children are able to see the illustrations.
The reader shows the pages most of the time but forgets a few times.
The reader rarely shows the children the illustrations but still talks about what is on the pages.
The reader does not show the illustration or talk about the pictures at all.
Overall Presentation
The reader went above and beyond in all aspects while reading the story.
The reader mostly did well in all areas of the presentation.
The reader did well in some areas of the presentation but not so well in other areas.
The reader did not do well in any of the areas of the presentation.
