10 questions clearly written to explore a chosen topic. Questions include survey participants possible choices.
Problem statement
Problem statement is written in paragraph form identifying topic. Statement explores a reason for conducting the survey.
Create Form
Form created in Google Docs; 8 to 15 questions with possible answers; Use of 7 question types. Questions are clearly stated. Hints or directions are provided to help respondents less familiar with your topic.
Distribute for survey responses
Survey is distributed in a public forum limited to our school or close school affiliates. Only your first name is posted on your survey and may be omitted once you receive credit. Student email may be used to encourage participants to respond. Gather 10 or more responses.
Analyze responses
Uses numbers depicted in graphs, tables and charts gathered from your surveys to support which areas need to be worked on. Uses facts to make connections to a position and survey data to support it.
Create a graph of data
Includes a colorful graph of two or more variables in one or two graphs and includes a table, legend, graph title, x and y axis labels.
Text (font choice and formatting)
Font formats (e.g., color, bold, italic) have been carefully planned to enhance readability and content.
Spelling and grammar
Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors, and uses paragraphs with complete sentences to explain positions.
Background and layout
Background or layout does not detract from text or other graphics. Choice of background is consistent from card to card and is appropriate for the topic.
