Display of Work
I did my work in my head and did not show my work on paper, or I did my work and then erased it. My work is so messy it is not readable. I forgot to use pencil and line up equal lines. I forgot to box my answers. My numbers are hard to read because they are sloppy or smudgy or written in pencil lead too lightly.
I used pencil but forgot to copy the original problem sometimes. I might have forgotten an equal or inequality sign in places, and they are not lined up perfectly. Sometimes I boxed my answers, but I forgot at other times. I tried to work from top to bottom but sometimes worked side to side. My work is crammed together, because I forgot to skip lines between problems at times. I should have spaced it out more.
My work is in pencil. I copied the original problem on my page and showed my work beneath it. I have one equal sign or inequality sign per line of work and they are aligned with each other. I boxed my answers. I skip a line between problems. I work from the top to the bottom of the page. I use multiple pages of syntax paper and staple them together.
Labels and Sentence Frames
I forgot to label answers. I have just written numbers on the page. My bar models are just boxes and numbers. I forgot to write a sentence frame, or the sentence frame does not make any sense at all.
My sentence frame might need revising, because it is worded awkwardly. At times I forgot to add labels to numbers to help the reader understand the syntax. My bar model has some parts labeled and some parts not, or the labels are a bit confusing.
I have written a sentence frame for problem solving scenarios. I have added labels to problems to help the reader understand my syntax (i.e. mph, $ per Lb., etc.) For bar models, I have indicated what the parts mean.
Neatness
My work is sloppy or incredibly hard to read. My pencil has either smudged WAY too much, or it is WAY too light to read. My work looks like a roller coaster, ignoring the lines of the paper and curving off in different directions.
I was a little rushed, so my numbers are not as neat as they could be. I did not always use the lines on the paper to guide my work. My pencil is either too dark or too light in places, making the work hard to read sometimes.
My numbers are neatly written and legible and not too small. I use the lines of my paper to guide my work. My pencil is not too dark and smudgy and not too light and hard to read.
