Student actively looks for and suggests solutions to real world problem(s).
Student refines solutions suggested by others.
Student does not suggest or refine solutions, but is willing to try out solutions suggested by others.
Student does not try to solve problems or help others solve problems. Lets others do the work.
21st Century Collaboration
Student always listens to, shares with, and supports the efforts of others. Actively keeps other team members working well together.
Student listens to, shares, with, and supports the efforts of others most of the time. Actively avoids creating "waves" in the group.
Student listens to, shares, with, and supports the efforts of others some of time. Occasionally represents a barrier to the successful "workflow" of the team.
Student does not listen to, share with, and support the efforts of others. His/her participation negatively affects the overall performance of the team.
21st Century Self-Direction
Student is able to meet timelines and complete tasks according to a self-created schedule without outside intervention from the teacher.
Student is able to meet and complete all, but one or two timeline events and/or tasks according to a self-created schedule.
Student is not able to complete the timeline events according to a self-created schedule; change has been made to a teacher-generated schedule.
Student is unable to meet timelines and complete tasks according to either a self-created or teacher-generated schedule.

Student is not able to demonstrate his/her understanding of 21st Century Content and Theme(s) at any cognitive level.
21st Century Technology Use
Technology use is directly connected and needed for task completion and students determine which application(s) would best address their needs.
Technology use is directly connected to task completion involving one or more applications.
Technology use is either unrelated to the task or appears to be an add-on and is not needed for task completion.
Technology use is not evident.
