Covers topic in-depth, does not stray from the focus. Subject knowledge is excellent and explained thoroughly.

Includes essential knowledge about the topic. Subject knowledge appears to be good. Strays minimally or leaves a few details unexplained.

Includes essential information about the topic but there are 1-2 factual errors. Strays off topic for extended periods. Leaves a great deal unexplained.

Student woks diligently, stays on task consistently, and does not have to be to told to participate with group more than one time.

Student works hard, generally stays on task, has to be told two times to work with group on project.

Student works with group on project, but must be told three times to stay on task and work on project.

Student continually gets off task and must be told four or more times to work on project.
