Stance
Student creates a movie for a reader. The event is recreated using many details , making it easy for the reader to relive the event.
Student creates a movie for the reader, using some details. It is somewhat difficult for the reader to relive and picture the event.
Student attemps to create a movie for the reader, but uses few details, making it difficult for the reader to picture the event.
Student does not relive the event and leaves out details making it hard for the reader to picute the event.
Qualities of Good Writing
The narrative is written in a focused chronological order.
The narrative is pretty focused and mostly in a chronologial order, with only 2-3 events out of order.
The narrative is weakly focused and lacks a strong chronological order. Many of the events are jumbled up.
The narrative lacks focus and has no real order to it.
Capitalization & Punctuation (Conventions)
The student correctly punctuates and capitalizes throughout their narrative.
The student has 2-3 capitalization and punctuation errors through out their narrative.
The student has 4-5 capitalization and punctuation errors throughout their narrative.
The student has more than 6 capitalization and punctuation errors throughout their narrative.
Grammar & Spelling (Conventions)
The student has proper grammar and spelling throughout their narrative.
The student has 2-3 grammatical and spelling errors throughout their narrative.
The student has 4-5 grammatical and spelling errors throughout their narrative.
The student has more than 6 grammatical and spelling errors throughout their narrative.
