Class Notes

Takes neat notes, keeps them organized and refers to them everyday when doing class work or homework.

Takes neat notes and keeps them organized. Also, refers to notes often while in class.

Takes notes that are messy or unorganized. Occasionally looks at notes in class.

Often does not take notes or keep them. Almost never refers to notes in class.

Attention

I pay attention in class, listen and ask questions. I focus on classwork at least 95% of the time.

I listen in class and focus on questions. Pays attention to classwork 80 - 95% of the time.

Pays attention in most of the class and when called on answer most questions. Pays attention 70 - 80% of the time.

Am off task more than 70% of the time. If called on usually does not know the answer to the question.

Participation

Asks 2 or more questions and volunteers to answer questions even if the answer may not be right.

Ask 1 question and answers at least 1 question per day. Usually only answers when certain of the answer.

Asks 1 - 4 questions a week and answers when only certain of the answers.

Rarely asks questions or volunteers to ask questions.

Homework

Attempt all homework on every assignment. Refers to all class notes while doing homework.

Attempts homework almost every night of the week. Usually refers to class notes.

Attempt most problems unless they are difficult. Misses several assignments and sometimes refers to notes.
