Experimental Design
Experimental design is a well-constructed test of the stated hypothesis. The students in creating this study clearly demonstrated their comprehension of the constraints on the study in terms of time and place.
Experimental design is adequate to test the hypothesis, but leaves some unanswered questions. The students may not have adequately addressed the limitations inherent in the constraints outlined, i.e. time and place.
Experimental design is relevant to the hypothesis, but is not a complete test. Moreover, its application could not be done in the constraints granted.
Experimental design is not relevant to the hypothesis. Little evidence is shown to demonstrate any comprehension of the limitations of the limitations involved.
Participation
Used time well in class and focused attention on the experiment. Students demonstrated collaboration and cooperation throughout project.
Used time pretty well. Stayed focused on the experiment most of the time. Some evidence of a lack of collaboration and cooperation.
Did the project but did not appear very interested. Focus was lost on several occasions.
Participation was minimal OR students were hostile about participating.
Procedures
Procedures are listed in clear steps. Each step is numbered and is in complete sentences.
Procedures are listed in a logical order, but steps are not numbered and/or are not in complete sentences.
Procedures are listed but are not in a logical order or are difficult to follow.
Procedures do not accurately list the steps of the experiment.

Summary
Summary describes the skills learned, the information learned and some future applications to real life situations. In presentation students are able to provide a description of their study's limitations
Summary describes the information learned and a possible application to a real life situation. Students provide a limited description of their study's limitations.
Summary describes the information learned. Students do not clearly describe the limitations of their study.
No summary is written.

Appearance/Organization
Presentation includes some graphic information. It is a well organized delivery.
Presentation is sound, but may have needed some more visuals or graphic information to inform the viewers.
Presentation is done, but organization makes it difficult to comprehend.
Most of what is done is done so in a haphazard way. Presentation is lacking in several ways.
